"The Flying Toads" – An Evening of Celtic Music (and dance)
What:
The Flying Toads are a four piece band of Irish musicians each playing several instruments - banjo, bouzouki, concertina, fiddle, pipes, whistles, cittern, guitar & flute! They offer a highly entertaining concert of Celtic music and song, ranging from lively jigs and reels to high-energy songs and haunting ballads. The name "The Flying Toads" came about as a spoonerism of the Irish hornpipe "The Flowing Tide"!
In the second half of the evening, Val, an experienced dance caller guideed us through a few dances so we can enjoyed a mini-Ceilidh, too! This event was suitable for all ages who love music to listen to, sing along with, or dance to.
