'Once Upon a Time...'
The Cliddesden Players' 2016 Pantomime
Written by our talented Director, Emily Golborn, this funny traditional pantomime is brought up-to-date with some 21st century issues (feminism, politics, disability, crossing-dressing - ooh, eck!) but with local references to other villages (rude, as usual) and an extended plot which allows anyone who wanted to be in it to have a part under the wonderful banner of 'inclusivity'!
So come along and see our wonderful costumes, magnificent sets, state-of-the-art lighting - no, of course not! It's the Cliddesden Players, so come and laugh with us at the old jokes, the dodgy wigs, the forgotten lines and the misplaced sound effects. Come and boo the baddies, cheer the goodies, sigh at the romance, smile at the children and grimace at the Dame (sorry, Darren!).
Will Prince Charming live up to his name and charm a girl into marriage?
Will you see one witch, or was that two?
What has Trumplestiltskin got on his head?
Why has Enoch got the hump?
If you don't buy a ticket you will never know!
