‘Escape from the Chocolate Factory!’

The Cliddesden Players' 2018 Pantomime

This year’s exciting, hilarious, heart-warming panto is written by our talented Director, Emily Golborn, and takes us on a return journey to Willy Wonka’s magical Chocolate Factory.

Meet up with some of the original characters – Verruca Salt, Mike Teevee, Augustus Gloop, Charlie Bucket and, of course, Willy Wonka himself.

As always, the Cliddesden Panto will dazzle you with its special effects, wonderful costumes, corny jokes, innuendoes and crossing dressing.

But back to the plot –

Why has Charlie gone back? Is he still as warm hearted as ever and are the other children still greedy and spoilt or have they learnt their lesson? Is Willy Wonka as kind and caring as he at first appears? And is love in the air or is it only the smell of chocolate? Will it all come to a sticky end?
